Postal key programming isn’t simply a case of copying a key. On supported vehicles the relevant immobiliser or security module is accessed on the bench, the required vehicle/key data is read using professional automotive equipment and the replacement key is prepared for that specific vehicle.

Replacing a faulty ECU with a used unit can require the original vehicle-specific data to be transferred into the replacement ECU.

Can I send an ECU to KeyLogik for cloning?
Yes, for supported engine ECUs. We require the original ECU and a compatible donor/replacement ECU with matching part numbers. ECU cloning is subject to compatibility and successful access to the required original data.

Can I send an ignition barrel for repair?

Can I send a damaged remote key for repair?
Yes. Damaged remotes and key shells can often be sent for repair or shell replacement. Suitability depends on the key type and the nature of the fault. Send us a photo of the key on WhatsApp and we will confirm whether it can be repaired by post.
How long does postal key programming take?
Suitable work may be completed on the same working day the parts arrive, subject to inspection, parts availability and workload. Return delivery uses a tracked courier service. We cannot guarantee a specific delivery time as this depends on the courier.
How will my parts be returned?
Completed keys, ignition barrels and modules are securely packaged and returned using a tracked delivery service. The tracked 24-hour return refers to the selected courier service and is not a guaranteed delivery time.
Should I remove the CAS, EWS, FEM, BDC or ECU myself?
Do not remove anything until KeyLogik has confirmed what is required. Customers who are not comfortable removing vehicle electronics should use a suitable garage or technician. We will provide clear instructions explaining exactly which parts need to be sent.
